Remembering the Why


It was great to catch up with my PG Cert tutors today and fellow classmates at the RCS Learning and Teaching Conference. Jamie encouraged me to always revisit the why when planning my research project. I am now thinking of the following:

Focusing my research project on my work with HAE students in terms of the workshops that I devise, deliver and document. My other work will naturally contribute to my reflective practice and journaling. By focusing my work, I may be able to work in greater detail as I will have more time.

Perhaps looking specifically at aspects of Improvisation in creative music making and musical play. Improvisation starting in Speech, Music, Movement, Visual Art, Drama…..

Why is this so valuable?

Connecting my work and practice with Diana Loosmore who is looking at Improvisation in Dance…..

Jamie reminded me of his Context – Conflict – Choices – Changes model to help me focus my ideas.
