How can I guide students in their reflective practice without over taking, over influencing or over directing the process?

After writing this question, I have been thinking about the ‘Clean Language’ model, introduced to me by my friend Emily Walker. In ‘Clean Language’ we have a series of questions that, when asked, allow the recipient to form answers that are not influenced by the person asking the questions. I wish to reflect on this more.
